Conditions of Use

By checking the box at the time of ordering you have agreed to Summer Naturals full terms and conditions and the details on our Postage and Packaging pages and have read all details listed here. Please scroll down for the delivery post code areas and excess postage cost Post Codes.

Processing Time:  Summer Naturals has a processing time based on working days, this varies between 1 and 72 hours but we try to process orders as soon as we possibly can, most orders are dispatched within 48 hours Monday to Friday. Your delivery method selection does not include processing time and the delivery time proceeds as soon as your order has been updated to dispatched.  You are sent an email as soon as the order has been dispatched. You will be sent another email in the morning of the day that your order is due to be delivered. An hour’s time window for delivery will be offered, we cannot guarantee this service. We will contact you if a parcel will be delayed or upgrade your delivery to a next day FOC to meet the processing and delivery times.

Delivery time: Whilst we advertise 24 and 48 hour delivery, this is based on working days. Occasionally the delivery does not reach its destination in the time offered this is beyond our control and also the control of the courier service although 99.9% of the time the courier company do deliver within their time limits. We can only apologise where deliveries are delayed. The Royal Mail option states delivery within three to five days, quite often we will dispatch first class for next day delivery, again Royal Mail’s service can fail and we can only apologise on their behalf. Summer Naturals can not be held responsible for parcels not arriving in time and we do suggest not leaving an order until last minute. Orders placed before 1pm on a Friday where a 24 hour delivery service has been selected will be delivered on Monday unless you require a Saturday delivery, if this is the case, please contact us to arrange to pay the excess £15.00 Saturday delivery cost.

Damages Due to undelivered parcels: Due to the nature of the products we sell, occasionally items can become damaged, 99% of damages occur when a Parcel has been delivered and there was no one home to accept it, parcels are then returned to the depot for a repeat delivery. We accept that not all customers will be home when their parcel is delivered but where you know that you probably won't be home we do ask that a neighbour's house number be provided for delivery stating a specific house number.

Customers unavailable to accept a delivery: When placing an order please ensure that someone is available to accept the order. DPD will make three attempts at delivering an order, if there is no one to accept the order and a parcel has to be returned, the return cost is the responsibility of the customer. We will do everything that we can to make sure that a parcel is delivered, however DPD can only hold parcels for so long. We are able to change the delivery address once a parcel has been dispatched so if you feel that an alternative address would be better please contact us and we can arrange this.

Working Hours: We process orders Monday to Friday 9am until 3pm when the courier collects. Orders taken Thursday, Friday, and at weekends will usually not be processed until the following Monday unless we are particularly quiet. We do try to dispatch orders where the 24 hour delivery service has been selected as quickly as possible and often the same day where the order has been made before midday.  Orders placed after midday may not be processed until the next working day. Orders are not always dispatched in the order that they were made, some orders are easy to pack and do not require much handling, orders that require a lot of handling do take longer to pack although on the whole we do try to pack orders in the order that they are received.  We have been known to be packing an order before it has even been paid for!

The courier service: This service which is charged at £6.99 or £7.99 is insured and tracked and is the better service. Summer Naturals cannot be responsible for a parcel that has had a request to be left in a safe place and then stolen or damaged. DPD have GPS that tracks the exact location of their vehicles. The drivers may not always leave a parcel if they do not feel it is safe to do so. When requesting that the parcel be left with a neighbour a specific house number is preferred as this then reduces problems that may occur when parcel can’t be located. Full details of DPD’s terms and conditions are available on their website. Occasionally there are problems with deliveries to flats and DPD do need to be able to gain access to flats, if you think there may be a problem with access please contact us and we will do what we can to help.

Royal Mail: Royal Mail parcels are not tracked but are insured to £42.00 please be aware that when selecting the Royal Mail option that you are aware that their service can lose packages, we obtain proof of postage but are unable to locate delayed orders due to the lack of communication provided by Royal Mail. If a parcel is still not delivered after 15 days we will send out a new parcel and make a claim. Of course we always do the very best that we can to sort problems out because your parcel is important to us.

Distance selling regulations: Summer Naturals abides by the distance trading regulations and all details can be found on the DSR website. You are welcome to cancel your order within 7 days of placing the order. Once an order has been dispatched and postage paid for we are unable to refund these postage costs and return delivery will be the responsibility of the customer. We also abide by the goods of sale act 1979 and where we are at fault we will put things right. We do occasionally make mistakes and please do contact us where a parcel is damaged or part of the order is missing or incorrect and we will rectify the problem. Where a parcel is damaged between here and the first delivery attempt to your delivery address we will either replace or refund the damaged items and cover any costs for returns for damaged items. We do ask that parcels be opened carefully to prevent damage to items at the top of the box as we can not be held responsible for items damaged when packaging is being opened. In the event of a parcel leaking we ask that the parcel be opened in an area where damage can't occur to property.

Non delivery due to wrong customer details:  Summer Naturals cannot be held responsible where your address details are incorrect. Your information is copied to the printed postage labels, incorrect post codes and house numbers or missing details may not be detected, this causes parcels to be delayed or go missing. A return address is placed on every parcel that is dispatched and we will refund the cost of the item once the parcel has been returned to us. We do ask that you check your details very carefully before placing the order and your address details are visible several times throughout the payment and processing stage. The use of an incorrect email address will cause problems with email confirmation, delivery notices and Summer Naturals can not be held responsible for problems arrising because we do not have the correct email address.

Payment cards: We do not handle any payment card details, your payment is taken via a secure payment processor.

Cancelling Orders: In the event of there being a problem with an order and we have made every effort to contact customers where there is no response, rather than hold onto a customers money we will cancel the order and make a full refund. We do make at least three attempts to contact via email. We would rather your order be correct than send it out. We will always refund delivery costs of a second order placed to correct missing items from the first order where we a) haven't already dispatched the first order, b) notice that the second order has been placed, c) where the weight of the two parcels combined is within the weight and size for the original postage paid. Where the postage costs exceeds the original postage cost we would refund part of the delivery cost of the second order.

Postage is calculated by the website based on weight and size and delivery area so we do not have a set delivery cost. We use Royal Mail and DPD. The website will calculate delivery costs for all post codes in England, Wales, some parts of Scotland and the Isle of Wight. Orders weighing above 2kg is charged at £6.99 for up to 27kg of products. Please use the estimate shipping button for delivery costs.

These post codes are all classed as offshore and DPD charge £22.00 per box: FK17-21: IV: KW0-14, KW 15 -99: PA20 -99: PH17- 99: AB 36- 38, AB 55 - 56: HS1-9, KA27-28: KW: PA20- 99: ZE, GY, BT, IM and EI Courier delivery £22.00. Royal Mail options are available for parcels weighing up to 20kg.

Jersey and Guernsey Post Codes. Courier delivery £22.00. Royal Mail options are available for parcels weighing up to 20kg excluding Guernsey, Jersey and Republic of Ireland.

Postcodes BT, IM, TR21-25 will cost £22.00 for courier deliveries, however, depending on the weight of your order we may be able to find a cheaper alternative for up to 15kg of products. Royal Mail can also be selected for the BT post code.


Important details: Please note that Courier deliveries require a signature, however we will request that your parcel be left in a safe place BUT Summer Naturals can not be held responsible for parcels that may be stolen or damaged where a signature has not been obtained.

Summer Naturals cannot be held responsible for parcels that have had attempted deliveries and returned to a courier depot and where contact with the courier company is not made within three days of the first delivery attempt. Please note that parcels returned to a depot and not collected/ re-delivery arranged within 3 working days may be returned to us and will incur a return charge of £12.00. Where an item is returned undamaged and due to non collection, a refund less postage costs and any costs will be refunded back to you..
