Postage and Packing
Important details: Please note that Parcel Force deliveries require a signature and can not be left in a safe place. If you are not home at the time of delivery and a neighbour is not available to sign, your parcel will either be available for a redelivery, which can be arranged on the phone or online or will be left at a PO close to your home. Due to the size of some of the parcels, smaller PO's may not be able to accept your parcel, this is beyond our control. You are able to check the progress if your parcel using the link on the email that is automatically sent to you on dispatch. Summer Naturals cannot be held responsible for parcels that have had attempted deliveries that have to be left at a PO for collection, though we will always help where we can. Please note that parcels left at a post office and not collected within 10 working days may be returned to us and will incur a return charge of £5.00. Where an item is returned undamaged and due to non collection, a refund less postage costs and any costs will be refunded back to you.
For customers purchasing above 2kg of product, with the following post codes starting with , The Highlands and Islands of Scotland - postcodes IV, HS, KA27-28, KW, PA20-49, PA60-78, PH17-26, PH30-44, PH49-50, ZE. Northern Ireland, Isle of Man and Isles of Scilly -postcodes BT, IM, TR21-25., a surcharge is applicable to Parcel Force deliveries, however, depending on the weight of your order, we will do our best to find the cheapest method of carriage that we can.
Your postage cost can be seen by using the "estimate shipping" button in your shopping cart after you have placed items in your basket, you can see exactly what your postage will be before you go to checkout, you do not need to register on the site for this information. Postage is charged by the weight and size of your order. Weights fron 0 - 1.99Kg will ship via Royal Mail, items from 2Kg upto 27Kg* ship via Parcel Force. Adding multiple items does not necessarily multiply the price of postage as prices are calculated in weight brackets.*Size of products are also taken into consideration when estimating parcel weight so your parcel may not always weigh 27kg. Packaging weight is also included in the estimation.
If you wish to purchase over 27kg of product, postage is multiplied and sent in multiple boxes, however, depending on the weight of the parcel and the size of the items we have on occasion been able to refund part of the postage and we will always try to send using the cheapest possible method to our customers.
Please take a little time to read the postage conditions: Prices for postage apply to Mainland Britain and the Isle of Wight only. Customers in Northern Ireland*, Ireland, Isle of Man, Isle of Scilly and other Isles please contact us for postal prices. In the event that you place an order and have not read this notice we will be happy to refund your payment or offer you a price for the increased postage, although it may be that we can find an alternative postal option to suit you.

Insurance and when things go wrong
In the very unlikely event of a parcel being lost please contact me. I will have the postage details and proof of postage required to file a claim with Royal Mail or Parcel Force. If it is found that Royal mail are not responsible for the reported loss where a fraudulent claim may have been made, insurance will not be recovered. I can not be held responsible in this event.
In order to process all deliveries, it is important that you give your full and correct address including full post code. We follow the clear address policy. Parcels can not be posted without a full post code.
Please contact us if you are aware that your postcode is in a Royal Mail problem delivery area.
Packaging and the environment
Because recycling is very important we try our very best to re-use packaging, we have an agreement with a local shopkeeper, we collect his used boxes and use them to package your orders so don't be surprised if your order arrives in a crisp box. By doing this we save the grocer a trip to the tip therefor reducing fuel emissions, it reduces all of the energy that would have been used when recycling those boxes and helps to keep the cost of packaging to a minimum. Where possible we will try to avoid using plastic although when we do it will almost certainly be pre used, unfortunately it is sometimes necessary in order to protect your order in transit.
Thank you!
