Epsom Salt or Epsom Salts also known as magnesium sulphate can be used as a general cleaning agent but is most commonly used as an ingredient when making bath salts. Epsom salts help to remove toxins from the body, reduce swelling and help to relax the body. They were traditionally added to the bath on their own but as home made bath salts are so easy to make and pretty to look at, this once widely used product is now becoming popular again. Epsom salts can also be used to make face cleansers and body scrubs. We have had customers tell us just how much benefit they have felt from the use of Epsom Salts added to their bath water.
Epsom Salts can also be used to help the release of ingrown hairs by dissolving some salts in warm water and then applying to the skin with cotton wool.
Epsom salts are also widely used with horses and for equestrian use and so very popular with horse breeders. For use in the garden: When added to water and used on grass, your lawn will grow greener, they can also be used to feed tomatoes and roses. These are not packaged in food safe conditions though and can not be used for human consumption but are an excellent salt for getting rid of those aches and pains and are superb for detox!
