Wooden Soap Mould - Basic Loaf Mould

Wooden Soap Mould  for cold process soap making. This is our Basic Soap Mould, ideal for beginners. Would make a fantastic gift for anyone interested in making their own hand-made soap!

The ends of the mould are released by simply unscrewing the nuts that hold the mould together and releasing the sides and the ends of the mould for easy removal of the soap without damage. This mould does not have a lid.

This mould is made in unreated eco ply.

The Approximate Inner dimensions of the mould are: Length: 23.8cm Width: 7cm Height: 7cm

To use the mold: Wooden soap moulds need to be lined to prevent the soap absorbing into the wood, grease proof paper will work as will plastic bin liners, these may give your soap a crinkled appearance which you can either trim or leave. The moulds can be used for cold process soap or melt and pour soap although a solid mould is better for melt and pour as it is very runny and can escape through the lining and the edges of the mould.  When making cold process soap the lid acts as an insulator and needs to be lined and used.
