Citric Acid

I use Citric Acid and Bicarbonate of soda for sustainable, non-toxic cleaning around the house. My 2 and year old granddaughter's as bright as a button, loves having a bath at our house and is into everything. Until recently (and still, at times) everything went into her mouth. By using just these two products I have been secure in the knowledge that the worst she'll get is a sour or salty taste in her mouth!

As to the cleaning: your show screen used to look like frosted glass with limescale, now it's bright and shiny, see-through and mould-free. The same is true of the tiles' grouting: put on a paste of bicarb with a few drops f water, work in with an old toothbrush, leave to penetrate then spray with hot citric acid... watch it fizz! and then rinse off, for nice, clean grouting.

The citric acid cleans my kettle, taps, shower heads, sanitary ware in the bathroom and stainless steel sink in the kitchen.

I add a coupe of tablespoons to a sink of hot water, when I rinse my crockery and cutlery, and I never have to worry about limescale dulling.
I even used it in my iron, but it has to be done frequently, else you get a frothing of dissolved limescale that takes forever to sluice through with clean water!

Thanks Summer Naturals for making my sustainable cleaning purchases simple and low-impact.
