Diatomaceous Earth is a natural pest control also known as Diatomite.
It is used in the garden to keep slugs at bay and is used to eliminate cockroaches, carpenter ants, moths, bed bugs, ticks, red mites, flies and flea infestations, it is also suitable to use around buildings, animal housing, farms, food storage and manure heaps.
Diatomite is also highly effective against Aphids, Ticks, House Fly, Corn Worm, Fruit Flies, Greenfly, Leaf Hopper, Lygus Bug, Mite, Black Fly, Salt Marsh Caterpillar, Elder Bugs, Centipedes, Millipedes, Silverfish and a multitude of other mites and parasites.
100% Natural and safe to use around animals and humans however we would advise to wear gloves when handling and avoid inhalation. No shelf life. No chemicals.
It is expected that virtually all mites will die from contact within 48 hours.
How to use: Sprinkle in all effected areas paying attention to where mites get. Can be applied directly to the animal in severe cases, ideal for use outside or in the home. Animal & feed/water safe.
How to use in livestock: Will work effectively when applied to walls, floors, ceilings, perches, nest boxes, bedding and cages at 10-15g per square metre. No need to remove feed, water, eggs or the animals.
Feeding as wormer: For use in any animal feed, must be fed long enough to catch any newly hatching eggs or cycling worms through the lungs and back through the stomach. A minimum of 20 days at 5% added to feed is recommended. Animals can show increased condition and health due to high mineral content.
